Security is tremendously important for customers in today’s world. With the hyperconnectivity everything is connected to everything else. The attack surface, as we say, is growing exponentially. This means that you can no longer put a wall around something and say that everything inside the wall is protected. There is no wall; there is no perimeter. So, the perimeter model of cybersecurity has disappeared. Therefore, you need different security approaches. If you’re working in an IT environment in an office, for example, you do not share your password with someone. But if we were working in a factory in an operational technology environment we would share passwords. Previously, factories that had technology were isolated from the internet. They were isolated from the real world. And those days have gone. You’ve got IoT that’s now existing on all these physical devices linking it into the internet and creating this attack surface that I’ve been talking about. Securing the Internet of Things is so exciting. It’s a new area of industry. It’s a new presence of the internet in the real world. And having an opportunity to understand the risks and prevent those risks from occurring, securing the Internet of Things —I’ve got the perfect job.
