Dialpad iPad iOS Walkthrough

Dialpad iPad iOS Walkthrough

Hey! Jenna here again with the Dialpad Learning Series. In today’s video we’re taking a look
at the Dialpad iPad app, a fully functioning desk phone replacement
that allows you place & receive calls from your business phone number on the go
as well as a whole bunch more. Let’s take a look. Once you’ve installed the app and logged in,
you’ll be taken to your Recent page. Just like the desktop app, you’ll see a list
of your recent conversations in the sidebar. At the top of your screen you’ll find your
photo and phone number. Tap on your photo to reveal your profile drop-down menu
where you’ll find your Main Line, Do Not Disturb, and Settings. Next is your Inbox. This includes New, Calls, Missed,
Voicemails, and Recordings. Under Contacts you’ll see the same three categories
that you have on your desktop, in addition to two new ones: Dialpad and Device. Dialpad contacts are ones that you’ve interacted with in the app,
while Device contacts are ones pulled from your iPad. Device contacts will only appear if you give Dialpad
permission to access them during your first login. Our one tap menu gives you the ability to add a contact
or send a message on the fly. Just tap the blue plus sign to reveal these options. Let’s review how to do some of the most important functions,
starting with Search. Tap the magnifying glass to search by name or number. If you’re trying to search by a term, make sure to tap History. Once you find your contact, tap on their name to pull up
your conversation thread. Next let’s take a look at placing a new call. Tap New Call from the one tap menu to search by name
or manually enter a number. When you tap into the Search field, we’ll automatically
display your most frequent contacts. You can also change your outbound caller ID by
tapping on the right arrow next to your name. Once you find your contact, tap on them
to initiate a new call. Your active call screen displays the same
call controls as your desktop. To send a message to your caller, tap on the message icon
to pull up your conversation thread To view their profile, tap on the info icon. Now let’s say you started a new call on your desktop app,
but need to step away from your desk. Just open the active call on your iOS app and tap
Switch Call to this Device. The best part? Your caller won’t notice a thing. Now let’s take a look at how to send a message. Tap New Message from the one tap menu to search by name
or manually enter a number. By default, we’ll display your most frequent contacts. To add more than one contact, tap each recipient to start
a new search or manual entry. Once you’ve sent your message you’ll be pulled into
your conversation thread. Here you can send videos, place a call, or
view your contact’s profile. With the iPad app you can send a message, add a contact,
or run a search all while on an active call. When you’re on an active call, tap the arrow
on the left-hand side of the screen to expand your Recent sidebar and one tap menu. From here you can create a new message, reply to one of your
recent contacts, or run a quick search. Thanks for tuning in to our mobile iOS for iPad tutorial. Have questions? Be sure to visit our Help Center
