Good morning everyone, my name is Manu Anjanappa and I’m a consultant with NUIT. I’m here today to help you set up Wi-Fi on your iOS device. So the first thing you want to do is click on Settings and then scroll down to Wi-Fi, which should be the second thing that’s there. So, what we’re going to see here is a list of available Wi-Fi networks and if you don’t see a list there, make sure that your Wi-Fi switch is pushed to ON. And then what we’re going to do is select the Northwestern network and it’ll prompt you for a user name and password. This is going to be your NetID and NetID password. Once you’ve entered your NetID and NetID password, go ahead and click the Join button in the top right corner. You will then be prompted to accept our security certificate. Ensure that you see Northwestern in the name here and then it also says AddTrust. And once you see that go ahead and click Accept. So once it’s accepted the certificate you will see that it’s attempting to join the Northwestern Network now. Once it’s successful you’ll see a little checkmark in the left corner. To double check you can also click the little blue arrow here and ensure that you see an IP address. That is all that’s required to connect your iPhone or other iOS device to the Northwestern wireless network. Now that we’ve shown you how to set up Wi-Fi, if you do have any questions you can feel free to contact the NUIT Support Center one of three ways: you can call us by calling 847-491-HELP that is 4357, you can also email us at [email protected], and finally you can chat us online by visiting the IT website at www.it.northwestern.edu. For further information and guides you can also feel free to follow us on Twitter, Facebook and YouTube. Have a great day, and goodbye.
