Nanoman represents nanomedicine being developed to fight cancer, or in this comic, “Cancer,
a malignant crab-monster,” lurking inside patients. But before Nanoman can fight Cancer,
he needs to find his crabby nemesis. Nanotechnology-enabled sensors, more sensitive than traditional
methods for detecting cancer thanks to their small size and increased surface area, allow
doctors to diagnose cancer even earlier, giving Nanoman the upper hand. One group from the
